Gap Analysis, Training & Consulting, and Program Development & Implementation are the 3 levels of support that we offer.

Gap Analysis

IPi routinely conducts gap analyses of current conditions comparing those conditions with the organization’s stated goals, generally accepted industry standards and regulatory requirements. As work processes are being evaluated and programs are being upgraded or developed, IPi’s team will assess their compliance with applicable regulations. Whether the acronym is OSHA, EPA, NRC, DOT, FDA, HIPPAA, SAMHSA, NAMI, MHA, ADA or ISO, VPP, API, CMA, ANSI OR ASME, the IPi team will have the needed expertise.

A report is submitted with recommendations to improve work processes and/or eliminate or mitigate findings or observations identified during the gap analysis.

Training and Consulting

IPi will review your existing training materials to determine their applicability to your new training program, identify training resources that are commercially available to meet your training needs and identify the procedures and training materials that must be custom developed for your site. IPi provides off-the-shelf courses, technical skills classroom and field trainers and professional and leadership training. In addition, IPi consultants are available to work with your team members, as long as needed, to assist with program implementation.

Program Development and Implementation

website-new-4IPi will temporarily relocate a team of professionals to your site to complete the tasks identified in the scope of work of the project.

Culture Change

The existing culture in your organization has been established over time.  Factors that impacted the culture are management approach, employee attitudes, work processes, employee relationships and many other factors.  Many times, a manager (maybe a new one) says, we need to become an XYZ organization so let’s change.  These efforts will almost always be viewed as a “flavor or the month or passing fad” by the whole workforce and will likely fail.

Typical reasons for a “Culture Change” effort could be related to high safety incidents, product or service quality issues, desire to achieve ISO 9001 quality status, desire to achieve OSHA VPP status, low morale or employee satisfaction, or major productivity issues.  The applicable issues or goals at your organization must be clearly identified and explained to all employees.  Once that is done, you have at least a chance to change the culture.

Steps involved in attempting to change an organization’s culture include:

  • Set the bar where you want or need the bar to be
  • Secure/ensure senior management is committed to the change
  • Establish the goals, objectives and timeline
  • Secure resources needed to meet goals, objectives and timeline
  • Communicate the goals, objectives and timeline to all employees
  • Select/establish a team to work on the culture change process
  • Train the team members on their roles and responsibilities
  • Roll out the process including why the change is needed
  • Assess the current work environment
  • Conduct regular team meetings to assess current environment, progress in effort and report on team goals

Always remember that culture change is an ongoing process.  If you stop working on the process, you will revert back to the way things used to be.  You must be vigilant and remember that continuous improvement is just that; a continuous process.

IPi uses a systematic approach to organizational development addressing the challenges and opportunities facing organizations in these rapidly changing times. IPi emphasizes the interdependence of job observation, job analysis, personnel selection, training, and evaluation in creating and maintaining highly motivated and committed job incumbents.

IPi’s project approach is a variation of a methodology that has been used by most industries for decades. Depending on the industry, it is referred to as Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE), Instructional System Design (ISD), or Systematic Approach to Training (SAT). IPi is prepared to perform turn-key efforts by completing all five (5) elements of the methodology analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation or assist you with one or any combination of the elements.
